We have significantly accelerated our energy transition strategy towards a Net-Zero and customer-focused business model.

Along these lines, Enel Américas has begun a corporate simplification process, focusing its actions on renewable energy companies and seeking to move away from investments from polluting sources.

We are committed to ensuring universal access to affordable electricity by investing in clean and less expensive renewable energy.

Currently our installed capacity from renewable sources is 85%.

We are committed to accelerating electrification by seeking Net Zero in power generation to avoid the serious consequences of a temperature increase of more than 1.5°C over pre-industrial levels.

Increasing the electrification of energy consumption through renewable energies will progressively mean a reduction in spending by households and will improve air quality by reducing polluting emissions.

Enel is one of the organizations that participated in the UN High-Level Dialogue on Energy, the first UN summit in more than 40 years dedicated exclusively to energy. The virtual event brought together heads of state and other political leaders, business leaders and civil society, who presented their Energy Compact, that is, a series of voluntary commitments aimed at accelerating the achievement of the sustainable development goal (SDG) 7 of the United Nations: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all, and achieve net zero emissions.

In line with this commitment, Enel Américas continues with its growth plan, adding 1.5 GW of renewable energy by 2026, compared to 2023.

We manage a customer base in Latin America of 23.8 million clients, we continue with a strategic redesign and with technology of the management of the electrical network to digitize and strengthen it, providing higher levels of performance and resilience.

Urban transport: Enel X in Latin America

Latin America is at the center of the energy transition and electrification, particularly in terms of electric mobility and transport. Cities are increasingly driven to electrify and decarbonise their transport systems as their populations grow and pollution increases.
