We have significantly accelerated our energy transition strategy towards a Net-Zero and customer-focused business model.

Along these lines, Enel Américas has begun a corporate simplification process, focusing its actions on renewable energy companies and seeking to move away from investments from polluting sources.

We are committed to ensuring universal access to affordable electricity by investing in clean and less expensive renewable energy.

Currently our installed capacity from renewable sources is 71%.

We are committed to accelerating electrification by seeking Net Zero in power generation to avoid the serious consequences of a temperature increase of more than 1.5°C over pre-industrial levels.

Increasing the electrification of energy consumption through renewable energies will progressively mean a reduction in spending by European households and will improve air quality by reducing polluting emissions.

Enel is one of the organizations that participated in the UN High-Level Dialogue on Energy, the first UN summit in more than 40 years dedicated exclusively to energy. The virtual event brought together heads of state and other political leaders, business leaders and civil society, who presented their Energy Compact, that is, a series of voluntary commitments aimed at accelerating the achievement of the sustainable development goal (SDG) 7 of the United Nations: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all, and achieve net zero emissions.

In line with this commitment, Enel Américas continues with its growth plan, adding 2.5 GW of renewable energy by 2025, compared to 2022.

We manage a customer base in Latin America of 23.3 million customers, we continue to deepen the progress of the Grid Blue Sky project in all countries, a strategic redesign and technology management of the electrical network to digitize and strengthen it, giving it higher levels high performance and resilience.

Driven by innovation, we continue to advance to digitize energy networks. Throughout Latin America we continue to deploy the installation of smart meters, with new applications for end users. This technology allows teleconnections, reconnections and distributed generation operations.

Today our focus is on recognizing, satisfying and anticipating the needs of customers by understanding their context, behaviors, feelings, concerns and expectations regarding your relationship with them.

That is why Enel Américas is promoting the digitization of its customers, and carrying out different initiatives to improve their experience. This includes, for example, websites, applications, email, social networks and WhatsApp as a means of customer service.

In payments, the Company continues to promote a comprehensive set of payment channels, including various digital and face-to-face options.

Urban transport: Enel X in Latin America

Latin America is at the center of the energy transition and electrification, particularly in terms of electric mobility and transport. Cities are increasingly driven to electrify and decarbonise their transport systems as their populations grow and pollution increases.

Enel X developed the electrical and charging infrastructure for the Fontibón III – Escritorio yard and delivered 172 electric buses to Transmilenio for the Bogota Integrated Public Transportation System.

Enel Américas has more than 2,400 electric buses in the countries where it operates.
