By 2026 we are committed to increasing the value created per unit of GHG emissions produced and we expect to achieve a generation Scope 1 GHG emission intensity of less than 125 gCO2eq/kWh.

Furthermore, in order to improve air quality in the areas where we operate, we pay special attention to the constant reduction of emissions of the main pollutants associated with the generation of thermal energy. By 2026, we expect a reduction in specific emissions in line with the Enel Group's objectives of -81% for SO2 (vs 2017), -51% for NOx (vs 2017) and -54% for particles (vs 2017).

We have committed to advancing our zero emissions ambition in 10 years, from 2050 to 2040.

On the path to achieving this goal, by 2030 the Enel Group, of which Enel Américas is a part, has confirmed the objective of reducing Scope 1 emissions from generation to less than 72 gCO2eq/KWh, in line with the scenario of 1.5°C certified by the SBTi of the Enel Group, contributing to the Group's commitments to reduce emissions.

This objective, which represents an 80% emissions reduction compared to 2017, will be possible thanks to our selective investments in the development of new renewable capacity.

The Group is committed to gradually reducing the water requirement in all production processes as much as possible while promoting internal recirculation, with a particular focus on water-stressed areas.

We will vigorously pursue the goal of reducing our specific water requirements and look forward to contributing to the Enel Group's goal of a 65% reduction by 2030 compared to 2017.
The circular economy is a strategic accelerator for Enel Américas. The Enel Group, of which we are part, is committed to improving circularity in terms of fuel and materials consumption for the complete life cycle of our generation plants.

The Company, aware of the need to increase efforts in response to the loss of biodiversity, sets the goal of achieving zero net loss for new infrastructure by 2030.

Enel Américas' strategic plan contemplates an investment that amounts to US$5.7 billion, for the period 2024-2026, of which 68% will be invested in the networks business and 26% in generation.

One of our goals is to focus on those investments that will yield long-term economic and social benefits. The investment priorities in the generation and distribution businesses are the development of projects that generate value in the process of energy transition to renewable sources; achieve resilient, digital and dynamic power distribution networks and reduce energy losses; and continue promoting the development of new uses of clean energy.

Our strategy aims to decarbonize and electrify the consumption of our customers by creating value for all stakeholders.
