Enel Américas is incorporating a new investment model into the strategy, the Stewardship model, which consists of some renewable generation projects being carried out jointly with a financial partner that will contribute a majority percentage of the required investment. Enel Américas, for its part, will contribute with a minor investment, but will be in charge of the execution, operation and administration of the project. The objective of this investment model is to mitigate risk and reduce the company's debt level. It is expected that by 2025, under this model, 2 GW of renewable generation capacity will be added.
During the 2023-25 period, investments will be made for a total of US$ 5.0 billion, of which 51% will be allocated to the network business and 41% to the Generation business, including those projects with the Stewardship model. In terms of geography, 61% of the investments will be in Brazil, 31% in Colombia, 5% in Peru and 1% in Central America.
